Equipment Operator/Laborer

Spring Township (Centre Co.) is seeking applicants for a full-time position as an Equipment Operator/Laborer in the Public Works Department. Applicants must be able to perform maintenance and repairs to Township roads. Duties include plowing snow, collecting leaves/brush, mowing grass, and general building maintenance. Must be able to work in all-weather conditions and be available for snow removal.
Experience in municipal road construction or related field preferred. Prior experience operating light to medium heavy equipment is a plus. Holding or willing to acquire a water operator license is an additional attribute. Class B CDL license preferred, but will help acquire. Willingness to obtain Class A CDL license is a plus. Must be a high school graduate or equivalent, and pass a physical and background check. Successful applicants must submit to a pre-employment drug and
alcohol screening as well as comply with
Spring Township's Drug and Alcohol Policy.

Starting salary will be $23.50 per hour but
